Privacy of IoT

My group decided to conduct our research on the Privacy of IoT specifically Voice Assistants such as Siri, Bixby, etc. From these we researched ways to abuse these systems (attacks), and users thoughts, concerns and views on this topic. Unfortunately I do not have much of the data we collected as we worked together on a google drive. My colleague that was the owner of the folder seems to have deleted it! So I am left with the parts I saved.

 

1. First my group was in charge of finding papers relating to our research we then created a project proposal on why it interested us and how we thought about conducting our research.

2. After reading more about our topic, we conducted our own research by interview over 40 people of all ages (friends ,family, and other students) asking multiple questions about their knowledge of voice assistants, their usage per day and week, and how secure they believed these assistants to be. Finally we then explained some ways the voice assistants are vulnerable to attacks and asked if it changed their perspective on voice assistants. (This document was deleted)

3. We were then asked to do a 8 minute presentation on a paper we read for our project. For this I chose one I was the most familiar with that is linked below.

4. My group them came together and created our group presentation (around 8 minutes) describing our findings and conclusions and then fielded questions from our classmates and professor. (This document was deleted)

5. Finally we did our write up of our findings, surveys, and conclusions of all the information we had collected. Linked below.
